What if nearly everything we think we know about aging is wrong? Our culture tells us that aging will change us against our will, and for the worse. Following-up on his successful 2014 Second Wind Tour, Dr. Bill Thomas hits the road again in partnership with PS Lifestyle, the National Hospice and Palliative Organization (NHPCO) and a group of visionary organizations to ask the question “What if?” What if we all lived in a world that saw aging not as a process of decline but as a vivid and enlivening process that presents us with extraordinary risks, and rewards? In a 90-minute evening “non-fiction theater” performance, Dr. Thomas shows audience members how to turn the tables on “Life’s Most Dangerous Game” and approach aging with the skill and enthusiasm it requires. Drawing on ancient wisdom and scientific breakthroughs, Dr. Thomas challenges audience members to reject ageist stereotypes and embrace the moments of life that offer the greatest risk, reward and possibility. The Age of Disruption 2015 Tour offers audiences a new and highly disruptive understanding of aging with the mission to inspire positive change for members of the audience and the communities in which they live. Dr. Thomas will be accompanied by Ithaca-based musician Nate Silas Richardson. Learn more and purchase tickets on the Age of Disruption Tour website:
